2 steps back one step forward

So I took some pictures of a friend's little girl's birthday party the other day. I really enjoyed it as I have felt cooped up in the house since the arrival of our newest addition in May. And it gave me a chance to get behind the camera again. There is one thing that I find everytime I take pictures is I always make mistakes. Although I don't like mistakes I am glad for them as they help me grow and see where I should be headed next. This time the mistake was the ISO feature on my camera. I had it set to 1600 the whole time in the light. Granted my photos were great, but because of such a high ISO all of them had a grainy feel to them. So I was left sickened by the whole lot of them. Now I know the difference and why to set my ISO to the lowest possible setting for the light. Here is a photo of my little Sarah during the party :)
